Bestowing Status of Heroism and Martyrdom, awarding Medals of Honor, Purple Hearts and Golden Crosses can thus be seen in this light as mere props of a clever Social Ploy designed to lure people into accepting death to advance purposes of super structures such as State and Country

This may be morally distinguished from natural behavior of individuals to come forward to protect survival of the group ...

But moral and natural are concepts developed not in isolation from social behavior and collective mind hence it is difficult to accurately make such distinctions.
