Proto-Sinaitic Scripts Found in Serabit El Khadim and those of Wadi El Hole (Qena) #EgyptRemembers

Proto-Sinaitic Scripts Found in Serabit El Khadim (South West Sinai - near an old ere turquoise Mine) and those of Wadi El Hole (Qena) may be the ancestor to all alphabets used in the world today.

See the development and transformation as depicted below, from pictures and  hieroglyphs to simpler shapes and eventually letters  (Alphabet/Abjad).

You can see the close links between Egyptian words and Phoenician, Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic ones.

B: Bet (House) ب- بيت
K: Kap (Hand) ك - كاف - كف
O: Eyenu (Eye) ع - عين
M: Mem (Water) ميم - ماء - مويه
R: Rasu (Head) ر-رأس
S: Sinu (Tooth) س-سين سنة أسنان
N: Nun (Fish) ن-نون أي حوت

Please refer to wiki and other sources for more exploration of the topic.

A specimen of Proto-Sinaitic script containing a phrase which may mean 'to Ba'alat'. The line running from the upper left to lower right may read mt l bclt.
