What the Human Moral Compass Points to

 

This is pure physics.

We all know what the human moral compass points to.

For a simple reason:

Any position other than justice will be met with resistance.

As the saying goes: no justice, no peace. What it really means: no justice equals resistance.

And it's not because I am optimistic or hopeful or a dreamer.

The path of least resistance** is universal and applies to all.

No exceptionalism.

The Congress can not pass a bill to say that anti this is anti that.

It is a law of nature.

Luckily the laws of nature work despite what the Congress or its lobbies like or dislike. 

**The term "path of least resistance" refers to the physical principle that a system, whether it be a fluid, electrical current, or other physical process, will always take the path that requires the least energy or force to travel.

A Temporary Safe Haven for Palestinians Inside Israel?

Netanyahu has been complaining that those who say Israel can't attack Rafah are denying him victory.

He insists that Israel must attack Rafah because this is where Hamas is now hiding (again).

He assures the world that he is keen on the safety of the Palestinian civilians.

And then his talking heads come on TV saying that Egypt should accept them "temporarily" since there are vast deserts which can accommodate them in Sinai.

Since Israel is so keen on the safety of civilians, why not take them into Israel, where original homes of the Palestinians are?

Isn't this easier than trying to push them into the desert of another country (Egypt), and be seen as committing the crime of Ethnic Cleansing using the threat of #Genocide, which Israel is being investigated for at the International Court of Justice (ICJ)?

The merits for this are numerous:

1. Letting Palestinians into Israel is easier, since this is a territory controlled by Israel
2. It protects the Camp David Peace Accords/Treaty with Egypt which is against the Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians into its territories
3. This is where the Palestinians originally come from.
4. Israel can have security control over that area

Land thieves, murders, corrupt politicians and those who support, shield, white-wash, aid and abet them, indict the victims, justice seekers, and those who defend them.

Bombs for Everyone to Sign

Dad has handed a generous allowance.

Let's quickly buy new toys of death,

before anyone changes their mind.

Soon, we will be able to hit even more kids,

The Case against US Exporting Arms to Israel

US Admin Awareness of Israel Committing War Crimes and Plausible Genocide

On 12th Dec, 2023, President Biden publicly mentioned that Israel was using indiscriminate bombing. Indiscriminate bombing is a war crime. 26th Jan 2024, the ICJ ruled that there is a prima facie genocide case against Israel.

Selling weapons to a country which is using indiscriminate bombing against civilians violates US Laws. The AECA requires that nation that receives a shipment of arms from the United States must certify that the weapons are used for internal security and legitimate self-defense, and that their use does not lead to an escalation of conflict.

As it happens, Israel is an occupying force in Gaza and as a result, does not have the right of self defense in a territory which it occupies by force in violation of UNSC resolutions.

And since President Biden on 12th Dec, 2023 has demonstrated knowledge that Israel is conducting indiscriminate bombing of civilians, with a staggering death toll, the President is knowingly bypassing congress to ship arms to a country which is committing war crimes and plausible genocide.

Nuclear Weapons, NPT Treaty and AECA

Israeli cabinet member, Amichai Eliyahu, Minister of Heritage, said that nuking Gaza is an option. So, now the US formally knows that Israel has nuclear weapons outside of the NPT (Nuclear Weapon Non-Proliferation Treaty). Yet Biden continues to ship arms to Israel again in violation of AECA and other US laws.

No Strategic Victory is Possible

The US is now committed to a war which cannot be won. It is impossible to end a resistance movement. Every bomb that falls, creates potential future recruit to an existing or a future resistance movement.

The Worst is Yet to Come

With 2 million Palestinians on the brink of starvation, and with the collapse of healthcare system, coupled with defunding UNRWA, it is possible that at one moment of time, one or more disasters could strike and there will be no capacity or infrastructure to deal with it.

Unconditional US Support, Impunity and Israeli Religious Extremism will have Dire Consequences

As explained in an earlier article, the US, UK, Germany and the EU are leading Israel to a path of national suicide. The disturbing scenes coming from the field, polls and even reported by Israeli newspaper warn of an internal implosion.

Summary

In summary, the US administration is marching into extremely precarious legal grounds. It is now exposed to being sued domestically and internationally for aiding and abetting in indiscriminate bombing of civilians and plausible genocide and it is violating its own domestic laws and regulations. Moreover, the US is supporting a war which cannot be won, at a staggering cost of human lives and destruction. US image and interests worldwide and in the region will suffer severe damage. Escalation could set a chain reaction which may be hard to reverse or control.
