Why Should Israel Behave? .o.o

Karin Barton 2 hours ago (3:56 PM)
How bitterly ironic that the Jewish State erected on the ashes of the Holocaust should become the poster child for the biblical proverb: "He who spareth the rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him correcteth him betimes" (Proverbs 13:24). Can 62 year olds still change? And how so?

Wael Nawara:

Indeed. For the sake of world peace, I continue to have hope, that we all can change. But because it concerns the rest of us, we can not just leave it to chance or personal preferences, manners or the lack of which. For the sake of us all, for the sake of Israelis themselves, the International Community must develop the mental toughness and political will to do the right thing. Through sanctions, diplomacy, soft power, economic incentives or disincentives, the people - with the power which ordinary citizens are acquiring, we must make Israel behave.
